We’re delighted to announce that Oliver Parker has joined our Midlands office as an Account Executive, to help Branch Director Phil Caffery manage our continued business growth across transport, haulage and fleet clients. Oliver comes from Towergate and brings a wealth of insurance experience having worked in the sector since he was 16. He also knows the Midlands insurance scene like the back of his hand, having worked at insurance brokers across the region all his life. That said, although Midlands-based, his remit will see him working with clients nationally.
Oliver began his career sourcing cover for classic cars, moved on to private cars and then into haulage and transport. Basically, anything wheels-based, and he’s your man!
Phil had been on the lookout for someone with extensive experience in working with transport, haulage, logistics and fleet insurance clients to join our Midlands office for a while. Having worked with him at Towergate, Phil knew that Oliver’s credentials in these sectors were outstanding and so would be the perfect fit for us. As with so much in life though, timing is everything, and it was only recently that Oliver felt it was the right time for a move.
Oliver says: “Naturally I was aware of C&C, being a direct competitor to Towergate in the transport, haulage, and logistics insurance market. But it was only when I started looking into the business and speaking to Phil and Malc, that I realised what a great opportunity it would be. The culture just felt right and we share the same drive to get the best for our clients.”
Phil says: “It’s just brilliant to have Oliver on board with us at C&C Midlands. His knowledge and experience in the fleet and haulage sector are perfect for our client base, but above all, his client service ethic will be a massive asset for us, and our clients. He really does put the client at the centre of everything he does and they recognise that they’re in a safe pair of hands with him.”
When he’s not looking after his clients, Oliver is immersed in football. He claims to have hung his boots up, but if The Wolves came knocking, he’d be available for selection! He also coaches junior players at Sedgley & Gornal United FC – something he really enjoys – even if it can sometimes feel like crowd control for the very young players!
