At C&C we are perfectly positioned to advise all types of transport and haulage operations in the UK, ranging in size from fleets of several hundred vehicles to one-man bands.
With over 50 years of experience as transport, haulage and logistics insurance brokers, our reputation within the UK haulage sector allows us to negotiate the best insurance portfolio for our clients. We are one of the leading independent providers of insurance broking services to the UK haulage industry, with long-standing relationships across an extensive network of specialist transport insurers.
We have a close working relationship with the RHA, and some members of our transport and haulage team have received ADR training, so you can be assured that you’ll be dealing with specialists. We understand the types of risk your business is exposed to and where to go in the market to find the right cover for you.
And it’s important to stress, we are NOT a call centre. We work hard to understand your business, its goals, its challenges and its culture. Our high retention and referral rates are down to the value our clients place on the relationships they have with our team, and the peace of mind that provides.
Bespoke Haulage Insurance Portfolios can include some of the following:
Motor Fleet: groups all your vehicles together including vans, minibuses, HGV’s, cars and special types under one policy document.
Freight Liability (Goods in Transit): offers liability protection for goods whilst in transit and whilst being loaded/unloaded and in temporary storage. Cover can also be extended to include Third Party goods being stored in a warehouse.
Airside Liability: covers your liability whilst vehicles are going airside for collection or delivery of goods. Airside cover is a standard exclusion on most motor and liability policies.
Environmental Impairment: covers your responsibility for damage to Third Party property and your own site. This can be for either gradual or sudden and unexpected pollution.
Buildings and Contents: covers loss and damage to your buildings and contents following an insured peril. It’s important that your sums insured represent the cost for replacement as new when the incident occurs. Underinsurance could result in a partial payout in the event of a claim.
Public and Product Liability: covers you if you or your employees are liable for injury to customers or the public, or for damaging their property as a result of your business activities. It is important that the limit of indemnity under this section is adequate for your business needs.
Management Liability Policy: reimburses the cost incurred by board members, managers and employees in defending claims made by shareholders or third parties for alleged wrongdoing. Cover can also be extended to include corporate legal liabilities which protects the business.
Business Interruption: can protect against loss of income due to an unexpected event, such as fire, flood or some other unforeseen circumstances.
Personal Accident and Business Travel: personal accident- this policy will pay employees wages up to a certain percent to the company. Travel – gives cover for employees travelling abroad on business.
Cyber: covers the losses relating to damage or loss of information from IT systems and networks from an actual or suspected unauthorised IT system access, electronic attack, or privacy breach.
Credit Insurance: cover against the risk of businesses not being paid for goods or services that they sell, or buy, (if on a pro forma basis).
Healthcare: cover could include private medical insurance for individuals or groups, income protection, life assurance, critical illness or key person protection.
