It’s been a busy time at C&C so some of the team celebrated the end of summer with a Friday evening at The Crafty Vendor, in the heart of Romiley.
The venue is a client of ours and specialises in artisan beers, bottles, and food – just what the team were looking for! The evening couldn’t have gone any better – there was even a surprise birthday cake for Malc, as he’d kept it rather quiet the week before!
Naturally, Malc said a few words but not before a chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ had been sung. It’s been a while since we’ve had a post-work Friday gathering, but Malc suggested that it would be the start of many. We’ll hold you to that Malc!
Naturally, no one wanted to leave it there, and the night was rounded off with a curry, followed by a few sore heads the following morning!
Malc says: “It’s always great to get a bunch of us out to celebrate our achievements, but also just to reconnect with friends and colleagues. Hybrid working has its advantages, but it’s all too easy to lose that sense of connectedness and camaraderie with teammates. The celebration at the Crafty Vendor was a great reminder of how important – and enjoyable, it is to mix it up and have a bit of fun with our workmates. And the cake, by the way, was a lovely touch, hugely appreciated, and completely devoured!”
