Client Service Is Key To New Business Wins In Scotland

Added on: September 22, 2023

It’s been a busy few months for the C&C team in Dumfries with some significant new business wins and renewals. What’s interesting is hearing the stories behind the wins, and how much they are a reflection of the client service focus we have at C&C Insurance Brokers.

One such win was back in May with Annan-based GSM Transport, an old lead of Lauren’s from a few years back. Whilst we didn’t win that one at that time, the client, Jim Morrison, had kept Lauren’s contact details and called her on the off chance the day before his existing policy was due for renewal. After securing quotes, the client signed everything over to C&C Scotland.

He was delighted that we’d managed to not only avoid a significant increase but actually save him a little. But his overriding motivation was that he wanted a local contact – someone that was available for face-to-face meetings and that he could rely on, no matter the time of day if he had an insurance issue.

As we all know, July is notoriously a slow month due to the Summer holidays kicking in and decision-makers being away from their businesses. Lauren herself was on leave for two weeks so it’s always a challenge to get new business and all the renewals across the finish line before everything completely shut down in August! That said, she was delighted to have renewed all of her cases with a GWP of £183k and put another £70K GWP of new business on top of that!

Once again, the rewarding aspect of the new business wins was that they were also transfers – clients looking to deal locally and have a personal touch. All from just over two working weeks in July!

The common thread here is that our clients value the added value that we as the C&C team bring to their businesses. We understand their businesses. We’re empathetic to their needs and we have the experience to bring clarity to a world that can sometimes be challenging to understand, for someone who hasn’t spent years immersed in insurance! Above all, we’re accessible to our clients, whether that be face-to-face or on the phone, and that’s something that is difficult to put a value on.

Further good news continues in that C&C Scotland has expanded its sponsorship of newly promoted League1 club, Annan Athletic FC, to include the training jackets and gilets for the 1st team.

Naturally, with all this growth, C&C Scotland is looking to expand its own team, and we’d encourage anyone interested to take a look at our Careers page here for more details, and then to contact Lauren directly.
