C&C Leeds Looks To Pubs And Clubs For Expansion

Added on: May 7, 2024

Hot on the heels of Toby Simpson joining as an AE in February, C&C Leeds continues its rapid expansion with the appointment of Jack Scott as an Account Executive.

Jack joins us from NDML where he was part of the broking team and is a specialist in arranging insurance cover for the nighttime leisure industry: that’s pubs, restaurants and nightclubs to you and me. This is an exciting development for us as, although we have existing clients within the pubs and clubs sector, it represents an opportunity to really explore and expand our presence within it. And whilst Yorkshire-based, Jack will be targeting chains and independents operating across the whole of the UK.

Unlike more standard commercial cover for regular retailers, there are all manner of insurance issues to consider in this niche market. Issues such as liability for door staff, loss of licence cover and even food preparation, with the use of deep fat fryers!

Tom O’Connell, Director of C&C Leeds says: “It’s a real pleasure to welcome Jack to the C&C family. He blew us away with his energy, enthusiasm, and proactive approach to creating opportunities. He’s client-focused, incredibly driven, and is a natural when it comes to using his initiative  – a perfect blend for the culture we encourage at C&C.”

Jack says: “I’m really excited about the prospect of growing this sector at C&C, of creating and growing my own book and also about having the autonomy and backing to do so. One of the big attractions of joining C&C is that being an independent broker, decision-making is fast and opportunities can be explored quickly. I spoke to Tom about the prospect of joining his team; everything just felt right and fell into place.”

When he’s not securing cover for clients, Jack’s hands are full trying to stop his two-year-old son from wrestling his two labradors – soon to be compounded by a second son due in a few weeks! Give it a couple of years Jack, and you’ll be managing a tag team!

In recent years, C&C Leeds has taken on a new face every six months, or so. The pace has been upped somewhat with two new joiners in the last two months, such are the opportunities and appetite for development and growth within the team. We’re always interested in talking with and meeting new people who feel their potential isn’t being met by their current employment. If that sounds like you, or someone you know, please direct them to Tom’s door via: Thomas.OConnell@cc-insure.com

At this rate, our Leeds 5-a-side Champions will be fielding a full-sized team by the start of next season!

Welcome to the C&C family Jack – we look forward to catching up with you later in the year to see how you’ve settled in!
