Three major awards in one year, a Highly Commended accolade for one of our rising stars, and another memorable evening for C&C. Not a bad Thursday night!
The C&C Claims Team has done it again! And this time, they’ve completed the hat-trick, winning the coveted Claims Team of the Year title at the UK Broker Awards 2026.
The celebrations took place last night at The Vox in Birmingham, where 450 guests gathered for one of the highlights of the insurance broking calendar. Hosted by comedian Mark Watson, the awards followed a busy day at Insurance Age’s Broker Expo 2026.
With C&C MD Malcolm Cooke leading the charge, the team had already promised to make its presence felt. As we suggested in our pre-event LinkedIn post, you might not know which table we were sitting at, but you’d probably hear us before you saw us! And when the Claims Team was announced as the winner, our table delivered!
But behind the trophies, applause and celebrations is a team thatโs the epitome of everything that C&C is all about. A team that consistently demonstrates what true client service should look like, and without a doubt is a big factor in our 97.4% client retention rate. So, it really is fantastic to see their dedication recognised so emphatically by the industry.

Handling claims is never an easy job. We’re often dealing with clients at some of the most difficult and stressful times they’ll face, and that brings huge responsibility to get things right. I’m incredibly lucky to work with people who genuinely care, who go the extra mile and who aren’t afraid to roll their sleeves up and fight their clients’ corner. Being there last night to see the team recognised once again was a really proud moment. They thoroughly deserve all the plaudits they’re getting.โ
Jack Makes His Mark Too!
There was even more great news for C&C on the night, with Jack Sands from our Sports Division receiving Highly Commended in the Young Broker of the Year category!
Jack has established a reputation for being incredibly proactive, diligent and, perhaps most importantly, demonstrating real integrity in everything he does. His determination to find the right solutions for his clients, rather than simply the easiest ones, makes him a very deserving recipient of this recognition.
For Malc, it was an evening that highlighted both the strength of C&C’s established teams and the talent coming through the business. He says:
“What a night! I’m absolutely delighted for our Claims Team. Three major awards in one year is an incredible achievement and thoroughly deserved. They’re a brilliant bunch of people who work incredibly hard for our clients, and I couldn’t be prouder of them. And to see Jack recognised as Highly Commended is fantastic too. He’s got a great attitude, tremendous integrity and really cares about doing the right thing for his clients. That’s exactly what we want to see in the next generation of C&C people. It was a cracking evening for everyone involved… I’m not sure how we’re going to top this next year!”
This industry recognition reflects C&C’s wider success: our ever-increasing number of divisions and offices, hitting a headcount of 180, and our greatest-ever income figure, with plenty of expansion plans still in the pipeline. So, if we were to say the mood is buoyant at C&C, it would be an understatement!
