C&C Clocks Up Three More Award Nominations!

Added on: October 6, 2026

It seems 2026 still has more to offer…

We’re delighted to share that C&C has picked up three more award nominations over the last few days, including two at one of the biggest nights in the insurance industry calendar.

The judges at the Insurance Times Awards have shortlisted C&C for both Commercial Lines Broker of the Year and Customer Champion of the Year. They’re two hugely competitive categories, so to find ourselves among some of the best-known and most respected names in the industry is something we’re incredibly proud of.

The Customer Champion nomination feels particularly special. We talk a lot about getting under the skin of our clients’ businesses; understanding their goals, the challenges they face and where we can genuinely make a difference. That extends well beyond just arranging the right insurance cover. Our in-house claims team plays a huge part in the service we provide, supporting clients when they really need us and helping us maintain a 97.4% client retention rate.

And the great news doesn’t stop there.

C&C Chester has also been shortlisted for the Customer Excellence Award at the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce Awards. This one has a distinctly local flavour and recognises businesses that don’t simply operate in the region but actively contribute to it; supporting, nurturing and collaborating with other organisations in their community.

For Paul Trafford and the C&C Chester team, that makes the nomination particularly meaningful. It’s recognition of the relationships they’ve built and the impact the team itself continues to make across Chester and the wider region.

Though we say it ourselves, 2026 is turning into something of a vintage year for awards recognition at C&C. And yes, we know everyone says “it’s an achievement just to be nominated”. But when you look at the calibre and scale of the competition involved, we stand by that statement!

Malc Cooke, Managing Director of C&C, said:
“Three more nominations is amazing news, but what I’m particularly pleased about is what they recognise. Great client service doesn’t come from one department or one initiative. It comes from people right across the business caring about what they do and doing it consistently well. These nominations belong to the whole C&C team.”

Paul Trafford, Director of C&C Chester, added:
“We’ve always wanted C&C Chester to feel like a genuinely local business; not simply the Chester office of a bigger organisation. We work with some fantastic businesses and people across the region, and we’re proud to be part of that community. So to be recognised specifically for Customer Excellence by the Chamber means a great deal to all of us.”

And from all 175 of us in the C&C family, thank you to Insurance Times and the West Cheshire & North Wales Chamber of Commerce for recognising our work and, just as importantly, the people behind it. Best of luck to all the other nominees. We’ll see you at Chester Racecourse on 13 November for the Chamber Awards and Grosvenor House Hotel on 2 December for the Insurance Times Awards.

Fingers crossed we’ll need a little extra room in the trophy cabinet…
