Alex Jones recently took the C&C name out on the road and into the Life Science arena. Following the success of its first year, the Bionow Neuroscience conference was back at Bramall Lane in Sheffield. More than 110 delegates came together to highlight the strengths in the discovery, development and commercialisation of neuroscience treatments and technologies across the north of England and beyond.
Alex was sharing a stand with Chubb and was joined by Amy Thurston and Liz Fletcher who are both Senior Life Science Underwriters. They met a huge variety of scientists and researchers from within and around the neuroscience space, and Alex says: “It’s a great fit, having Bionow’s preferred insurer and broker side by side; it makes conversation with prospects so much easier when talking through their goals and obstacles. Often, it’s about catching companies when they are in the early stages of development and then helping them to grow by providing the right type of cover as they expand. We’re now building vast experience of working with companies from start-ups, through clinical trials to production and overseas trade.”
Alex makes a good point. Recently, a client we’ve been working with for over 12 years, won a Kings Award For Enterprise in International Trade. During that time, their turnover has increased almost tenfold. It’s only by keeping alert to a client’s plans and performance that we’re able to provide the appropriate cover to protect evolving exposure.
C&C have been the trusted insurance broker for Bionow and many of their members, since 2011. Bionow is the leading not-for-profit membership organisation supporting the biomedical, pharma and life science sectors across the north of England.
Alex says: “Working with Chubb at Bionow events is mutually beneficial. Together we can establish a much deeper understanding of a client’s needs and frame the right cover to their specific circumstances. It’s a great example of how our relationships with insurers translate into client benefits.”
