We’re so proud to share that ReAgent Chemical Services, a client of ours for over 12 years, has achieved a prestigious King’s Award For Enterprise in the International Trade category, recognising their outstanding global growth and commitment to excellence.
The King’s Award is one of the highest accolades a UK business can receive, and ReAgent is one of just 197 businesses to receive this honour in 2025.
The path to winning a King’s Award is an understandably rigorous, months-long process that requires a substantial amount of documentation and evidence. Applications are assessed by an independent advisory committee and government departments, with their recommendations then submitted to the Prime Minister and eventually to the King for final approval.
ReAgent blends and supplies chemicals to many sectors, including medical and life sciences, construction, aviation and automotive. But it was way back in the spring of 2013 when Rob Black first met Simon Tasker, MD of a considerably smaller ReAgent, through the BioNow network. It quickly became apparent that ReAgent’s existing insurance was leaving them exposed and wasn’t fit for purpose, let alone for their plans. Rob also advised on what additional protection was required when they expanded into much larger premises, and have since seen their turnover grow from £2-3m to over £20m per year.
Key to the success of our relationship with ReAgent is that Rob appreciates the importance of regular contact with his clients. Timely review meetings take place well in advance of renewals, allowing us to keep up to speed with how the business is growing, to understand their goals and the challenges to achieving them.
Jessica Clifton, Director at ReAgent, says: “C&C have played a crucial role in turning our export goals into reality. From an insurance perspective, exporting goods globally requires greatly increased cover and specialist insurance for our freight travelling internationally. Not only whilst en route, but we also required stock holding insurance for Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) warehousing in the Far East in order to get the supply chain up and running. Without C&C understanding our situation and requirements, we may not even have been able to set up VMI supply chains and actually supply our customers. So, C&C played a critical role in contributing to us receiving this award, and we’d like to thank Rob and the team for all of their guidance and support over the years.”
