We’re thrilled to announce the opening of our ninth site and seventh regional office, C&C Nottingham. The venture is ably led by Luke Oprych, who joins us with over 21 years of experience across Momentum, Partners& and CGI.
The office is perfectly placed to consolidate the C&C name in the East Midlands and the east of England regions, and Luke’s background and experience are sure to attract clients from across the transport, haulage, construction and commercial sectors. Already, clients from earlier times are tracking him down and are delighted to hear that he’s opening the doors to C&C Insurance Brokers in Nottingham. And although Nottingham-based, Luke is looking forward to working with clients UK-wide, as is the case with all our other regional offices. We have long recognised that whilst having a regional base is important, insurance broking is as much about trust, and that client relationships transcend regionality.
Luke says: “I was looking for somewhere that retained family values but also had corporate weight with insurers, so that I’m able to do the best for a client, regardless of their size. I also wanted to be in a place where I can genuinely grow a business, without the backdrop of micromanagement or hidden agendas. Someone suggested that I speak with Malcolm at C&C; we clicked, and here I am opening C&C Nottingham!”
Luke comes from that old school, breed of broker who loves to champion his clients’ cause; takes the time to understand their businesses; takes calls in his own time and embraces investing time in getting better outcomes for his clients, whether it be premiums, protection levels or claims.
Well, he’s certainly found his tribe at C&C.
Luke is ambitious, full of energy and has considerable vision for our latest office. So, if he had a magic wand, what would C&C Nottingham look like in 2-3 years?
Luke says: “You only have to look at what Tom has achieved at C&C Leeds in a relatively short time. It’s nothing short of phenomenal – that’s the model! Having said that, all of the regional offices are flying. It’s brilliant to see how each of them has created so much from a standing start. It just goes to show what can be achieved when the right people are given the support they need, in an energetic, growth mindset environment.”
It’s fair to say that Luke is a great thinker, not just in terms of problem solving for clients, but also in business strategy and understanding people. “I’ve honestly been blown away by how aligned C&C and I are in our approach to business and developing people. There’s no veneer here. People don’t try to impress each other with unheard-of acronyms, or look to use roles as stepping stones, so never fully invest in their clients. I was staggered to learn that 40% of staff have been with C&C for over 5 years and that every year there are one or two retirements. People clearly stay here for a reason, and that speaks volumes.”
Outside of family and insurance broking, Luke is a keen footballer and would like Thomas Tuchel to know that he’s still available for selection, should the need arise. Although Luke has only recently re-taken up the game, and is playing regularly for a veterans team, having confessed that he’d been booted around the park in his last game!

You can’t take opening a new branch lightly, but we knew he was the perfect fit for us, our clients and the wider C&C family.
