Last Thursday we had the pleasure of attending the Stockport Business Awards held at Edgeley Park, the home of Stockport County FC. The awards promote the best of the best amongst local businesses and it was fantastic to see our thriving business community converge to celebrate the area’s collective business achievements. Our host for the evening was 90s TV favourite, Jenny Powell, and another TV legend, Terry Christian was mixing with the crowd.
C&C Insurance Brokers was one of three finalists in the £5m+ turnover category which was the last award to be presented on the evening. Sadly, it wasn’t to be our night, but it didn’t dampen our spirits. As fantastic as it would have been to have won, being selected as a finalist is a great testament to what we have achieved over recent years. And it gave everyone who attended on behalf of C&C the opportunity to mix and celebrate those achievements.
Malc says: “Of course we would have liked to have won, but our achievements speak for themselves. By whatever measure, 2023 is proving to be the best year in our history. New business and growth is off the chart, our offices are part way through a brilliantly contemporary refurbishment and as a company, people are beginning to socialise and celebrate with colleagues again. Hybrid working can sometimes dampen those kind of relationships but nights like this really do help build team bonds. I’m delighted with what we’ve achieved and where we’re heading!”
