We’re delighted to announce that we have renewed our Sale Sharks sponsorship for a further three years, taking us through to the end of the 2025-26 season. C&C Insurance Brokers were already the club’s longest-running commercial partner, and this contract extends that relationship further, to 15 years. It’s always exciting to be involved in Premiership rugby but especially so with the imminence of the Rugby World Cup.
The main focus of the Sale Sharks sponsorship is the naming rights to the Platinum hospitality suites which will continue to be known collectively as The C&C Insurance Suite, incorporating the C&C Dining Suite and C&C Platinum Suite. Other notable inclusions in the deal are the continued sponsorship of England and British & Irish Lions flanker, Tom Curry; naming rights to the annual Sale Sharks Golf Day; pitch-facing perimeter advertising boards and branding on the match-day big screen.
Sale Sharks is one of the biggest sporting brands in the northwest and are enjoying a resurgence under the stewardship of ex-captain, Alex Sanderson. Despite being ahead at one point, they were only narrowly outplayed by Saracens at last season’s Gallagher Premiership final at Twickenham.
Further testament to the quality of Shark’s improving progress is the inclusion of four players (Tom Curry, Manu Tuilagi, Bevan Rodd and George Ford) in Steve Borthwick’s 33-man squad for the Rugby World Cup, in France, this autumn.
The World Cup will be a fantastic stage for the Sale players to show the world why last season’s Premiership final is just the beginning of a new era in competing for trophies.
Malcolm Cooke, MD of C&C Insurance Brokers says: “We have a special relationship with this club and brand, so we’re thrilled to be extending our Sale Sharks sponsorship for a further three years. The high bar Alex, his coaches and players set on the pitch is reflected in the hospitality offering, off it and we can’t wait to start sharing matchdays with clients and colleagues in The C&C Insurance Suite.”
Claire Butters, Head of Sales & Marketing says: “A sponsorship for us is so much more than a financial transaction. Of course, that is important but we want to build a long-term relationship with our partners. Working with partners who share our values, our passion for the north and who want to collaborate together is so important to help drive the Club forward on and off the field. Our relationship with C&C Insurance Brokers is a perfect example of this.
They’re our longest-serving commercial partner and we’re delighted they’ve committed to working with us for three more years. The long-term commitment is a sign that both the Club and C&C Insurance believe strongly in the value and the potential of this partnership.”
The first round of the Gallagher Premiership starts on 13th October and runs through to the Final on 8th June. The Rugby World Cup runs from 8th September to 28th October.
