Massive congratulations to all at Sale Sharks for overcoming Leicester Tigers, 21-13 yesterday, to secure their place at Twickenham on 27th May! What a day that’s going to be and we can’t wait to join you there! It’s been 17 years since Sale were last in the Final (which they won, of course) so this really is something quite special.
Sale Sharks are our longest-running sporting partner, having worked with the Premiership Rugby Club since 2011. We also sponsor the England and British & Irish Lions flanker, Tom Curry and it was great to see our man back in action against the Tigers, having been rested for the Newcastle Falcons game.
As an insurance broker in the northwest, it’s a privilege to be associated with one of the biggest sporting names in the north. There’s something very rejuvenated about this Sale team under Alex Sanderson. And it’ll be an interesting day for him, for sure, having spent 13 years as the Assistant Coach at Saracens – our opponents in the Final! But it’s not just the on-field players that are making the difference. There’s a buzz about the place at the AJ Bell now, and it’s translating onto the terraces. There’s a belief about the whole set-up now. And why not? The Sharks have got their bite back and we’re already counting down the sleeps to Twickers!
